My thesis in 180 seconds: Jules Trillaud will represent Ifremer at the final from La Rochelle on 5 March 2025

The competitionMy thesis in 180 seconds(MT180) challenges doctoral students to present their research topic in a clear, concise and accessible manner to all in three minutes. This popular scientific exercise makes it possible to highlight a variety of research and to make it comprehensible to as many people as possible.

On  Tuesday 5 March, during the local final held in La Rochelle, Jules Trillaud, doctoral student at the Ifremer station in La Tremblade as part of the ASIM team, will take part in this event. He will present his work on understanding the epidemiological dynamics of the OsHV-1 virus, a pathogen affecting oysters. By combining phylogeographic and modelling approaches, this research aims to better understand the virus’s spread and impacts on the shellfish environment.

The event will be held in public and will also be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the University of La Rochelle. A unique opportunity to discover exciting research topics and to follow the performance of PhD students engaged in this scientific challenge.
